About Us
The Radnor Democratic Committee (RDC) is an all-volunteer group of active, committed Democrats who live in Radnor Township. We strive to keep our neighbors informed and provide opportunities for community outreach to elect Democrats to local, county, state and federal offices. To attain our goals, the RDC:
Recruits and supports Democratic candidates
Canvasses our neighbors during campaigns
Creates and distributes election information
Staffs the polls in every precinct of the township
Advises on voter and absentee registration
The RDC does much of this work through the leadership of our precinct-based Committee members. There can be up to four Committee members per precinct. Two of these are Democrats who are elected in a primary election by their Democratic precinct neighbors for 4-year terms. The other two Committee members are appointed by the RDC Chair for 4-year terms.
Committee members’ responsibilities include vetting candidates when there are multiple candidates in one race and working closely with their appointed counterparts to organize campaigning, canvassing, and poll staffing in their precincts for election seasons. Both elected and appointed Committee members also have voting rights in municipal and county Democratic Committee organization matters.
